blog post #7

I leanred many things from creating my own blog. For example  we post our assingment in blog after then we comment each other posts. i didn't spend much time in blog but i did whatever i got to do in blog. i think the blog is not art becouse we just write things and post images and stuff. we do not do any kind of drawing and painting. however we do share our culture and background when ever we need to write. my favorite thing is post image and comment .Therefore we learn things from image and by commenting . its kinda fun and interesting.moreover i think blog is most wonderful thing to share ideas and knowing about others.

post # met museum paper

This is a recumbent lion and also it was old kingdom from early Egyptian. It was most powerful things for the Nile valley. It had been a symbol of royalty. It also includes various important goddesses such as Sakhmet, the fiery goddess of war and pestilence and served as a guardian of temples and palaces. The sculpture exhibits all art and iconography. The lion’s tail is slung high up over the right, the ears continue directly into the mane around the face and the body is separated from the base.

Image by : Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec

this is a modern art images. . the arisit  innovations in lithography including spatter techniques, large format and use of vivid color, greatly influenced both lithography and graphic design.  this picture drawn with brush and liquid tusche on the litho stone. he used diagonal lines and curves to introduce asense of motion that is missing from the photograph. a dark line emerging from the bass frames the dancer. He use  shapes and fluid brush lines retains much of the vigor of the sketch.
i like his style because the artist exact pose that model did also  i saw his painting in the book. they all are terrific.

                                                        standing buddha offering protection

I chose to research  the indian buddha which is at metropolitan museum of art in NYC. This is a beautful picture. The woman is protecing people fron her society or nation.
according to the metropolitanmuseum of art history http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/works-of-art/1979.6  . this images of the buddha's aualities of innder clam and stillness and the product of wisdom. the figure might have made of abhayamudra  gesture with his raised right is missing and dispensing fear and reassurance to the followers. "The musculature and frontal pose are reminiscent of king-warrior-savior figures of preceding centuries and are especially associated with the Kushan period." the hale emanates show the religion repersentation from both natual and supernatural.

art report.

Shamanism
This picture is about shamanism.  This picture is made of plastic and wood. The picture is kind of fogy. it has complementary color
I like this picture because its interesting that he is trying to use his superpower and also trying to help the sick people.
The art criticism has positive and negative impect  but in this picture shaman using his superpower to aid people`s  cure.
This picute has formal theories. It has oldest style that influenced by shaman. People pay attention to the shaman and they fallow them.
The contectual theories shown their  culture belief system and their religious and  it doesn’t have any political and economic issue.
It does descired the expressive theories because of their sickness

Shamanism: prevalent in northern asia and much of central asia. Shamanish is based on the idea that certain individuals by going into a temporary state of trance, can communicate with the supernatural. Anyone in the group may become a shaman. Shaman world is dangerous between the natural and supernatural  obscure. For some people dreams are dangerous, they don’t know whether the spirit in dreams  are good or evil.
Shamans and christianity
Shamanism is a technique of religion rather than a religion itself. Unlike a priest the shaman uses individual powers to communicate with supernatural spirits ratherderiving power from establish code of belief.there is a little conflict between indigeous beliefs in the world spirits and the ability of shamans to reach them. Shamans become powerful when they change their sex, fly travel far afield and turn into animals.

The upper palaeolithis
The picture is about how early people hunt and gather food together with small group. I like this picture very much. These people in the picture are made of plastic and the tress too. In the atmosphere perspective the illusion of depth is created by changing color. It has complementary color and it also has iconography that shown on the picture.
The palaeolithic also call the Old Stone Age.  During The upper Paleolithic period people had to move one place to another.  They couldn’t settle in one place because of food. They used to make small grouped in a societies such as band and subsisted by gathering plants and hunting for wild animals. The women discovered the seeds by walking.  First they were walking and saw small seeds on ground but they didn’t care about it. Then few days later they were walking by the same place and saw the plant were growing so they decided to stay in one place and to plant seeds and get food from plants.  The Paleolithic also characterized by the use of knapped stone tool. They also adapted for use as tools like leather and vegetable fibers.

I left really excited when I visited the museum and seen these wonderful people and their work that they had done. These were the most incredible pictures, painting and how it’s shown them in museum. There were some pictures that I dislike the craniums. They were kind of scary.

blog post #1

Creativity is all kind of art source in including science and technology in fact all of civilization that human imagination.
* wonder and be curious because may be its save energy or its give more power.  The light is yellow so it might have something interesting.  I consider myself as a creative because I’m too curious about knowing new experience and try to find more information about things if I don’t know anything.  I like to take advantage of accidental events.  For example you don’t know how to cook and one day no one was home. There wasn’t any food at our house and u were tired u can’t go out so if u try to make some kind of food and somehow its turned into something else but not that food u wanted. so i guess that's accidental.
